Will We Make It To Five Years Without a Terrorist Attack On U.S. Homeland?

9/11 is only a bit more than two weeks away. Neither Al Qaida nor any other terrorist group has hit us since 9/11/01.

WTF?????

Those guys haven't lost their ardor for blowing up Americans, so what is the reason they have not successfully reprised the 9/11 attack?

On September 12, 2001 I thought that the 2nd punch would surely come. When, I didn't know but I kind of thought that it would be within weeks or maybe months. Months have dragged on into years and number 5 is coming up.

I think that we well make it to 5 years without a succesful attack.

Are the coordinated efforts by the government just too much for the AQ or their buddies?

bush will help the next attack along soon, right before the election, so he can stop the elections and use the national guard to qwell any dissent. This has been the plan all along, we are no safer, our ports are wide open as are our borders, they could have attacked whenever they wanted, bush needs it right before the election in november so look for it to happen in late sept or october.

Bush is not going to help ANY attack on America's shore. You realize the 'keep America safe from terrorists by fighting them there instead of here', is the ONLY thing Dubya has going for him now? If a terrorist strike hit American shore, Bush's rating would plummet below 20%.

Terrorists would have to be mighty stupid to fly directly into the US when they can saunter in the wide open back door. A shipping container filled with C-4 could have been sent at any time and timed to explode while being inspected. There are unprotected offshore oil rigs in the Gulf. Tons of drugs from the heart of 'terrorland' enter the US monthly without detection. The list goes go on and on. Any 12 year old's imagination can come up with dozens of ways to instigate a terrorist attack on America that would have a much, much higher chance of success than the methods upon which Homeland 'Security' is focusing it's efforts on.

So, I agree that terrorists could have attacked whenever they wanted. But why haven't they?

Why not go for the two-for-one? Hit an oil asset. This would increase the price of gas and cower the populace into supporting their GOP 'protectors'.

But there is another way but it would require the American people to wake up and start thinking instead of dumbly watching the 'reality TV' shows that pass as news.

Americans should look to the CAUSES of the ill named 'Islamofascists' and see what role they had to play in creating it. Unfortunately, this requires intelligence, understanding, knowledge of history and reasoning powers beyond the grasp of most.
