Hey, flip a coin or throw a rock at group repugs, either way someone will. And you can bet you ass, hat and alley cat that repugs. will be pointing and screaming ' see WE cut taxes, theyraise'em' Worthless lying little shit's.

Well, maybe this time the dems should be a little more forceful in pointing out all this to the general public. I know there will always some ass kissing nut job on the other side who'll still cry, but if you can show those bozo's for they are then it won't matter what they say. And not to be insulting to anyone here. You will have to present this evidence on about third grade level so as to be sure to make it clear to everyone. Not and insult, just a basic fact of teaching the masses.

Lessee, cut taxes and revenue goes up dramatically so naturally dems will raise them and keep spending anyway. Then keep raising them and wondering why it's not working, blame Bush and the reps. Good plan.

You know that revenue increase with tax cut is a myth don't you. Even Bush's economic advisor pointed out that you might get SOME revenue boost from reduced taxes, but you can NEVER recover the revenues lost by the tax cuts. In other words, tax cuts ALWAYS result in a net loss of revenues and without commensurate reduction in spending, you spiral deeper in debt. That's exactly what this bunch of 'fiscally' responsible Republicans have done.. In fact, over the past 40 years Democrats do much better at deficit reduction (Repubs avg. $160B: Dems avg $36b). Democratic administration have consistently outperformed Republicans over the last 40 years. All the data is here: http://www.eriposte.com/economy/other/demovsrep.htm

See for yourself.

What a unique Democratic idea! Slash the military and soak the rich! Seems like this is the same strategy they've had for about 40 years but it doesn't seem to be working any more.

Like liberals everywhere, they think of the country as the government and that the more money the government gets, the better off the country is. Tax cuts allow people to keep and spend more of their own money which drives the economy. The consumer drives about 2/3 of it. The idea is to keep a good economy. Not to provide money for the government.

I have yet to hear from a cut and Spend Republican on why we need to spend more on our military than the ENTIRE FREAKING WORLD! If we slashed our military budget in half, we would still be spending more than all of our supposedly 'enemy' countries (Russia, China, axis of Evil) combined.

Of course the problem with cutting our military is that this is cutting corporate welfare and it will impact local economies (mostly in the South - California and Connecticut were gutted by the Republicans which led to a short term depression in those 2 states - they did however recover). The only way to easy that impact is to replace some military spending with money for retraining and helping small businesses in the local areas losing the military welfare.
