Dubai already provides us with use of their airfields. We used Dubai when we attacked Iraq. Why do you think they would be nervous about making a covert deal with us regarding Iran?

That depends on your definition of 'friend'. They're more like 'Good Fellows'.
He's being blackmailed. He got *something* from them, and now if he doesn't payback, he dies. There's just no other possible reason why he'd sell off our defense assets the way he's doing.

The deal is payola to the terrorists. Bush knows that if he doesn't appease al Quaeda - they'll get HIM, his family, his friends, and his business associates. And, beyond that, he knows they *can*.
