The Opium Democracy

Where in the hell are the Democrats concerning Afghanistian? Bush's invasion has resulted in two things, the opium production exceeds pre-Taliban levels and there are a lot of blood-stained, no-bid contracts granted to supporters of the Republicans. Now opium is big business to the money-changers and the shysters of the world and surely they are showing the Republicans just how grateful they are. Why are the Democrats so quiet about the lack of progress in Afghanistian? Could it be that they are profiting from the mayhem occuring there just as the Republicans and their supporters are?
