The Always Present Question Of Fund Raising

Before every election and all throughout the election period the discussion of the fund raising become a major one.

Sure no one can run for Presidency without a whole lot of money, sure the people that are rich enough to make large donations are able to influence and determine policies still there is a line to be respected and we in the Democratic party need to pay attention very closely to the trends of fund raising each candidate has.

john Edward’s fund raising drew attention during 2004 with accusation of improper fund raising and relying too much on donations from the legal community.

I have to join Andrew Sullivan when he says:

One hopes the Edwards ‘08 campaign is being a bit more careful about who it takes money from. You may recall that back in 2003 the ACU charged that the Edwards ‘04 campaign had taken a number of questionable donations

The reason I find the issue so important is that I really want him to run a good campaign in the coming elections and not be a focus of allegations.
