I can’t even imagine the effort that senator Ted Kennedy had to make in order to arrive to the Senate at the right time for the vote on the Medicare bill and save the day.
He stayed only for a short while but he made all the difference and really saved the day.
“It was so Ted Kennedy to decide to come, and to cast the deciding vote on an issue he cares so deeply about and that he identifies with,” said Senator Susan M. Collins, Republican of Maine. “Everybody on both sides [of the aisle] had tears in their eyes,” she said.

In anyway the 10% cut that the GOP tried to impose on Medicare is history and something good was done today.
