McCain Stops At Nothing But The Truth Is Stronger

I know that it is election time and that fighting dirty is part of campaigning but we can set the standard higher. In fact part of what makes Obama a great candidate and would make him an excellent president is that he doesn’t fight dirty and drags McCain through the mud.

The election in November are very important turning point not only when it comes to policy but also when it comes to our entire political culture. Do we want to let cynicism and disillusionment to be what we bring to our lives and to the world or are we willing to have trust in another way of being.

Right now Obama stands for all the good things that we have lost in our political and social lives over the last years and if we can’t bring ourselves to give him the support that he needs and shield him against unjustified and even cruel attempts by some people to ruin very fresh essence that he brings it is as if we give up to bulling ourselves.

If we accepts that only bullies can be in politics this is the way that our lives would look like, the question is not who is a better bully but what are the things that we want to create and how we want to create them.

It is a leap of faith to decide to choose Obama because he is different and not just because we don’t want McCain.

The question is do we still have enough trust in life, ourselves, love and truth to do so.
