Crackpot Anti-US Journalist Eric Margolis Calls Muslim Terrorists-- Islamic REFORMERS!

Margolis, a self-styled expert on politics and warfare, has written column after column attacking and condemning the Western coalition (mainly the U.S. and Britain) against Islamofascism while praising Muslim theocracy.

The pro-Muslim Margolis has written column after column and appeared frequently on CNN and other liberal news networks as an analyst of Middle Eastern Affairs. But his bias is so great that he makes outlandish and ludicrous statements and mendacious charges against the U.S. and other adversaries of Islamic fascism.

For example, in his most recent column titled 'Amateur Warlords' appearing in Toronto's Sunday Sun, Margolis lies by writing 'Bush and Vice President Cheney egged Israel into the hugely destructive but militarily fruitless war in Lebanon over the past month...'. Where is Margolis proof of this? Hezbollah in Lebanon had over recent years imported 15,000 Katyusha rockets from Iran and Syria to strike mainly at Israeli civilians. The Kaytusha is not a defensive or even, in the strict military sense, a defensive weapon. It is a primarily a terrorist weapon to be used against civilians.

For years Hezbollah has been periodically firing these weapons into Israel. Finally after the recent raid into Israeli territory in which they killed four and captured two Israeli soldiers, even the socialist Olert government regarded this as an act of war and justifiably retaliated with heavy force. Now how in hell were Bush and Cheney responsible for this? Margolis cannot explain why, just make wild accusations.

In his distorted wishful thinking Margolis refers to 'Hezbollah's victory'. At best the war was a draw. It was the Islamic country of Lebanon, with much destruction and suffering (caused by Hezbollah) that was the big loser.

Margolis' column is riddled with distortions and mistruths. He accuses Israel of using 'deadly cluster munitions' While this would have been an weapon against the Katushya firing crews unfortunately for the Israelis, they did not use cluster bombs or large bunker busters.

Although much more of Margolis' article could be debunked, we will conclude by addressing one of his most outrageous statements. He gleefully refers to the victorious (at least temporarily) al Qaeda- led Muslims in Somalia as 'Islamic reformers'. My god, are these brutal 7th century-like suicide bombers, Islamofascist totalitarians actually 'reformers'? This shows just how nuts the American-hating, anti-democrat, anti-capitalist, pro-Islam Margolis really is.

I first noticed Margolis' affection for all things Muslim a few years ago when he came out strongly against the Indian government in the Kashmir dispute.

I was puzzled by it then and still haven't heard any reason for his obvious pro-Moslem bias.

Does anyone have an explanation? Money? Converted to Mohammedism but kept his western name to conceal it? Or something more complicated?

And only gutless scum attack Margolis behind his back. I wouldn't expect either one of you clowns to send him an email with your grievances.

Even Margolis' closest personal friends would not be upset enough by what I wrote to respond as you did. I've got to assume you are upset only because you are also pro-Muslim, or a Muslim hiding behind the name 'Jay Fung'.

So, why don't you tell us why you want to support Margolis and/or Muslims?

I believe that he is Muslim. In earlier columns and media analyses he brags about traveling widely in Muslim countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan and Egypt virtually unescorted. Someone earlier on the Net wrote that he is a New York City- born Jew. But that is preposterous in that he travels easily through Muslim countries and is very much anti-Israel and anti-US. He now blames everything re the war on Islamic terrorism on Bush and the so-called neo-cons while conveniently ignoring 9/11, the earlier Muslim attack on the WTC and other terrorist attacks in the 1980s and 1990s.

A pile of shit that he made up on the spot and presented it as fact, who does he think he is ? The toad or jonsa .

Tell us, do the 'UN personnel on location' mention that they watched for six years while Hezbollah turned South Lebanon into a civilian-riddled armed camp?

Had Hezbollah not militarized South Lebanon under the watchful eye of the U. N., Israel would not be shooting at them. Use of cluster bombs is not 'illegal' because Hezbollah hides among civilians. There are no rules of war that prevent shooting at an enemy just because he holds hostages.

He claimed that Israel had *not* used cluster bombs. I pointed out sources that said Israel *had* used cluster bombs. He did not give any sources, so I asked.
