Barack Obama and Joe Biden will cut taxes for 95% of working families, and provide at least three times as much tax relief for middle class families as John McCain and Sarah Palin. The Obama/Biden plan provides $1,000 of tax relief for workers and new tax benefits to help families pay for college, childcare and save for retirement. John McCain is going to do the opposite and give the largest cuts to the very wealthy which mean he is going to leave 101 million households with nothing.

I really feel sometimes as we are always on the defense and on the reacting side. I think I’m not the only one that notices it and comments on this trait of the Democrat campaign.
I’ve just read a post here saying basically the same thing.
In order to win the election it is crucial to show why McCain is the wrong man for the job. It is not enough to share the vision for a better America as there are many voters that can’t relate to abstract discussions.
I don’t say that we should go to their level in the sort of attacks, I don’t even say that it is important be attack as in being aggressive. What I’m saying that sometimes there is a need for a short brief message to open the way.
A short brief message saying you don’t want another Bush for 4 more years because… Something that every men women and children would be able to understand, accept and relate too.
The whole vision them of the campgain is a good one as it is touching on what we want America to be, but without a clean, clear explanation of why McCain is the wrong man at the wrong time the whole message loses balance.

Well it is the weekend so I guess it is o.k and I guess it is a good way to notify people before the news can appear all over the news.
Anyway the big deal is the decision and not the text messages at the middle of the night I guest found the time a little amusing.
I think that Biden is a very good choice and that Obama was right to wait before making the decision. As the election gets closer he and his stuff were able to learn about the most critical issues in which Obama needs support in the eyes of the voters.
This issues are foreign policy, experience and middle class white voters. Biden brings balance to all these areas.

I’ve come to understand that conservatism is a very irrational phenomenon. As I see it there is only sense in conserving something if it is already functioning, successful and balanced. Otherwise what the point in conserving?
Most people are not seeing things as I do, for them conservations is what we do to prevent things from deteriorating.There is always a way to reach some of the people who’s reasons for conservatism is fear and distrust.
Sure as digby said most evangelical audience cheered McCain on every single word and sure that conservatism is a worldview but there is a way to gain the support of many people that define themselves as Conservatives and it through getting their trust.
In order to win Obama needs to have supporters from various social groups so trust that changes can be done and trust that he can do it without collapsing their world but rather improving it can be crucial.
