Another step in the fight for the nomination of the democratic party has led to Clinton’s victory in three out of the four states. Thinking about the number of the delegates - as after all this is the result that matters in the end - Obama leads by far.
To stretch a basketball analogy: Obama has built a 20 point lead in the second half. Clinton can’t win by just trading baskets back and forth (splitting delegates). The only way she can catch up is by hitting some three-pointers (Ohio and Texas), fouling Obama to stop the clock (negative campaigning), and hope for some bad calls in her favor by the refs (seating the uncontested Florida and Michigan delegations). Obama should call a timeout, remind his team not to panic, and stick to the game plan. All he has to do to hold his lead is continue to play good defense (respond effectively to attacks), make free throws (Vermont), and run out the clock. I just hope that a hard foul doesn’t cause any injuries. We’ll be rooting for either of them when they play McCain in the championship game
Here is a reminder to the interaction between the two in a texas debate Personally I have reasons to want each of the candidates to win but if I really have to decide then I think I’m going with Obama.
